Postal Loans

Information for online and blended delivery students requesting books for postal delivery.

Postal Loans for Online & Blended Students
This service is available to students who are studying by Blended Delivery mode or taking all units Online. Newly enrolled students may borrow two weeks prior to the commencement of their course.

As part of this service:

  • Library books are posted to students free of charge
  • Returning books to the library are made at borrowers' expense
    All items may be returned to your campus library by post or in person
  • Limited copies of recommended or designated textbooks are available for loan
  • The library can fulfill postal requests for books only. DVDs cannot be posted to students
  • Requests for books for postal delivery must be made through Navitas MultiSearch.

1. Sign in to My Library to access the MultiSearch Request Options. Current students, academic and administrative staff may log in using your Navitas username and password as follows:

Username: students\yourstudentID (e.g. students\135689)
Password: your student password

Please note: username contains a back-slash (\)

Alumni and sessional staff can sign in from the My Library link using your Library username and PIN:
(i.e. AP12345) and library PIN.
Your PIN is ddmm of your birthday (i.e. 3 July = 0307).

2. Click the Locations tab beneath the item you'd like to have sent

3. Click the Request link in the Request Option field

4. Select Home Address as the pick up location and then the Request button.

A hold will be placed on the next available item and sent to your home address. Check that your address is current in My Library, contact the library with updated address details as required and inform student administration to update your student record.
