Why Use Textbooks?

Textbooks are an important part of your research for assessments. Use a textbook for an overview of the subject, to clarify concepts, and to familiarise yourself with the important contributors to the field.  Books may also have a reference list at the end of the chapters.  These reference lists can be a good starting point for finding other relevant resources.

Textbooks are recommended for this assignment.  Here's where to find them:

  • Use Multisearch to find books and ebooks on the essay topics.  Learn how to do this here.
  • To search ebooks only, use the database called Ebook Central
  • Find books in Sage Research Methods database
