The ChildTrauma Academy (CTA) is a not-for-profit organization based in Houston, Texas working to improve the lives of high-risk children through direct service, research and education.
A major activity of the CTA is to translate emerging findings about the human brain and child development into practical implications for the ways we nurture, protect, enrich, educate and heal children. The “translational neuroscience” work of the CTA has resulted in a range of innovative programs in therapeutic, child protection and educational systems.

Communities That Care Ltd. is a not-for-profit training and consulting company formed through a collaboration between the Royal Children's Hospital and the Rotary Club of Melbourne with the objective of implementing, evaluating and disseminating strategies for building community prevention capacity in Australia. The company vision is to promote the healthy development of children and young people through long term community planning to prevent health and social problems.

A remarkable explosion of new knowledge about the developing brain and human genome, linked to advances in the behavioral and social sciences, tells us that early experiences are built into our bodies and that early childhood is a time of both great promise and considerable risk. The mission of the Center on the Developing Child is to leverage that rapidly growing knowledge to drive science-based innovation that achieves breakthrough outcomes for children facing adversity. This Study on the effects of new information technologies on the abuse and exploitation of children was prepared pursuant to Economic and Social Council resolution 2011/33 on Prevention, protection and international cooperation against
the use of new information technologies to abuse and/or exploit children, in which the Council expressed concern that increasingly rapid technological advances have created new possibilities for the criminal misuse of new information and communication technologies.

This resource guide aims to stimulate thinking and promote reflection among child protection supervisors and leaders (CPP 5 and CPP 6), regardless of whether they directly supervise staff. It offers practical tools, ideas and tips to assist in their day to day roles.
