Renew, Request & Hold

How to renew loans, request books from other campuses, and place holds on unavailable items.

Renew Current Loans

Renew items online in MultiSearch by logging in to My Library:

  1. Current students may log in using your ACAP username and password as follows:
    Username: students\yourstudentID (e.g. students\135689)
    Password: your student password

    Please note: username contains a back-slash (\)
  2. Alumni and sessional staff can sign in from the My Library link using your Library username and password:
    Username and passwords will be given to you by library staff.
    You may reset this password by selecting the UPDATE LOGIN CREDENTIALS link from the Personal Details tab, here.  

  3. Click the My Loans link from the menu under your name 
  4. From here you can either Renew All items or Renew Selected items
  5. Take note of the new due date and remember to return items by this time or contact the Library if the renewal process was unsuccessful. 

Items may be renewed for up to 6 times the lending period unless they have been placed on hold by another student.
