Textbooks

Find recommended textbooks. Information about purchasing and availability in the library.

Here are some options to purchase your textbooks. You can often buy directly from the publisher, from a bookstore, or purchase secondhand. Things to consider when purchasing:

  • Shipping costs
  • How long shipping will take
  • Correct edition
  • Condition of the book - Has the book been written in? Are all the pages present? Is there anything damaged or missing?
  • Where the book is coming from
  • Exchange rate, when purchasing books in a different currency

Buying Textbooks

Many book publishers allow you to buy from them directly. Book prices and the cost and time for shipping will vary. Compare these with a local bookshop before purchasing.

There are many options to purchase your books from a bookstore, either in person or online. You can often purchase multiple books together to reduce shipping costs. Below are some options, but there are other bookshops throughout Australia, or your usual country of residence.

Buying Textbooks Secondhand

Remember to find the correct edition and ask about the condition of the book, check the postage price and follow all the usual precautions for shopping online before making any purchases. Where possible, look at or ask for photos.

Library staff do not intervene or mediate in these transactions.
