On Campus Students

Digitisation Service

This service is available to all enrolled students and staff. Newly enrolled students may request two weeks prior to the commencement of their course.

As part of this service:

  • 1 chapter or up to 10% of a library book is scanned and emailed to students
  • If a book is available as an ebook then students will be sent a link via email
  • If a requested chapter from a book is out on loan, the request will not be actioned until the book is returned
  • Requests for digitisation must be made through MultiSearch.

Note: Digitisation requests will not be sent if an ebook version is available and you will be sent a link to this version.

How to Request

1. Sign in to My Library to access the MultiSearch request options. Current students may log in using your college username and password as follows:

Username: Your ACAP email address (e.g. 123456@my.acap.edu.au)

Password: The password used to access the ACAP Student Portal. If you are experiencing any difficulties logging in, please contact your campus library.

Teachers and staff username: Your college email address (e.g. jo.wong@acap.edu.au). Please contact your campus library if you require this information or have not yet registered with the library.

2. Click the title link of the item you would like to request
3. In the Find & Request section click the Digitisation link 
4. Enter the chapter or pages that you want scanned (NB: a maximum of 10% is allowable under Australian Copyright Laws)
5. Click the Send button
6. Read the copyright declaration and agree to the terms.
 
Once a copy is available, library staff will scan and email your requested chapter or pages.
