Citation Tools

Information about and access to free online referencing and citation tools.

Library Databases

All academic databases will display a citation tool somewhere on the details page of an item record. Look for a citation tool icon (usually quotation marks) or a save/export option.

The images below illustrate how to find citation tools in some of the most popular library databases.

MultiSearch

Click the citation tool icon [quotation marks] below the title information and select a referencing style.

EbscoHost Databases

Open individual records by clicking the Title link. Then click the cite icon [quote marks].

This will open a popup box where you can select your referencing style, copy or export the citation. See below:

Ebook Central

Open individual records by clicking the Title link. Click the Cite icon [quotation marks] and choose a referencing style.
