Reference in AGLC 4th

Inserting Footnotes

When using the footnoting system, remember to leave a fairly large gap at the bottom or your page.

In your word document, place the cursor where you want to insert the reference (the footnote will appear at the bottom of the page automatically)..

For example:

Words words words words words words words words – very important point taken from a journal article (and we need to reference it because we got the idea from a particular publication).

What to do?
Click the place where we would like to insert our reference (no spaces) and lick on the References Tab in Word. Then click on Insert Footnote

A footnote will appear at the bottom of the page. Insert the information next to the footnote using the AGLC3 format.
In this instance, we used a journal article.

The journal article is very good and we would like to take another point from it.

Click the place where we would like to insert our reference (no spaces) and click on the References Tab in Word. Then click on Insert Footnote.

In this example, we have referred to the same article in our footnotes so we can simply use the word ibid (as above) and add a page number if different from the preceding footnote.
