Learning Resources for Teaching: Linking to Journal Articles

It is easy to create stable links that work both on and off-campus. Steps to link to specific resources can be found on this page. If you require assistance contact: ask@navitas.libanswers.com

1. Find the article in the database.
2. Click either Abstract or Full Record.
3. Copy the URL from the address bar of your browser.
4. Add the following to the beginning of the URL: "https://ezproxy.navitas.com/login?url=".

Example:
https://ezproxy.navitas.com/login?url=http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/2056305117733225

1. Find the article in the database.
2. Click the title to view the article.
3. Copy the URL from the address bar of your browser
4. Add the following to the beginning of the URL: "https://ezproxy.navitas.com/login?url=".

Example:
https://ezproxy.navitas.com/login?url=https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0747563215004343

1. Find the article in the database.
2. Click the title to view the Detailed Record
3. Click the Permalink button found under Tools on the right side of the screen.
4. The permalink URL will appear near the top of the page (Below the search section, but above the article title).
5. Highlight the entire URL to copy and paste it where desired.

1. Find the article in the database.
2. Click the link for Citation/Abstract.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the Document URL.
4. Add the following to the beginning of the URL: "https://ezproxy.navitas.com/login?url=".
5. Remove the "accountid=…" part from the Document URL.
